Our Baby Nurses are experts in newborn care, helping your baby transition smoothly and giving you the confidence and rest you need during those precious early months.

Newborn Care Specialists will take special care of your newborn. They will help teach you how to care for your newborn, including bathing techniques, feeding, diapering, dressing, how to do the baby’s laundry and the maintenance of your baby’s room. They will help to get the baby on a schedule, which will also help the parents’ sleeping patterns once the Newborn Care Specialist leaves.

The length of a Newborn Care Specialist stay is usually between 1 and 6 months but is determined by the needs of the family. Since you will be spending many hours with your Baby Nurse, phone interviews and personal interviews are encouraged. This will give your family the opportunity to confirm that their skills and personality are an excellent fit for you and your family. Some families wish to have their Baby Nurse meet with their family’s OB/GYN or the child’s prospective pediatrician. Often, families involve the grandparents in the interview process as well.

Baby Nurses are available to accompany the family to the hospital or to welcome the family home upon their return. The time you spend with the Baby Nurse should be pleasant and gratifying.
